The $1.5 million Longines Kentucky Oaks celebrated its 150th anniversary May 3, 2024 at Churchill Downs and a cloudy, rainy afternoon in Louisville could not dampen the spirits of those in attendance. Kentucky Oaks day features the Survivors Parade, now in its 16th year, aimed at raising awareness of breast and ovarian cancer while encouraging fans to donate by visiting the web sites of Norton Cancer Institute Survivorship or the Horses and Hope Kentucky Cancer Program. The Survivors Parade has over the years led to a pink theme for Oaks day that engulfs Churchill Downs and creates a much different vibe than Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve day the following afternoon.

Photographer Eclipse Sportswire was on hand to capture the charm of Kentucky Oaks day.
